The Commission for Other Backward Classes, Govt of NCT of Delhi is a quasi-judicial authority constituted by the Lt. Governor of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi vide Notification dated 20-04-1993 as a permanent body in pursuance of the judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 16th November 1992 in the CWP No.930 of 1990 (Indira Sawhney and Others vs. Union of India and Others).
